Harvey Bell and Family

Harvey Bell! Once his dream, is now a reality. Harvey grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, MI where he learned how to raise Belgians from the best....his own father. Bell Farms celebrated their Centennial in 2007. With a background like that, he must be doing something right! Harvey can be found in his barn or hitching his horses on most Saturday's of the year.

Annette Bell is Harvey's wife and occasional chore helper. She is a great cook and feeds the belly's of the rest of the crew. She has also been spotted riding a couple of those Belgians in the fields and on the road in front of the house.

Kaylee Long (formerly Bell) is Harvey's oldest daughter. She is currently in her last year of clinicals in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. Kaylee's focus is on equine reproduction. Needless to say, Harvey get's a kick out of asking his daughter for veterinarian advice. During the horse shows, Kaylee is not far away. She was also the 2000 Michigan Draft Horse Breeders Association Queen.

Aaron Long married Kaylee, and is thus part of the Har-Lyn Ridge crew. He is a great addition during hay season. He is a great help and a fast learner.

Carter Long is Kaylee and Aaron's son. He is the newest addition to the Har-Lyn Ridge crew. Carter can be found napping on most days.

Aaron Bell is Harvey's son. He lives in Tucson, AZ and is, therefore, not seen hitching horses very often. However, being the big guy that he is, he's very handy during hay season. Aaron is a graduate of Alma College and is currently working in Sales.

Allyson Bell is Harvey's youngest daughter. Allyson enjoys the drafts so much that she made her passion into a summer job for a while. Allyson has worked for/helped such farms as:
Wismer Clydesdales, El-Tone Percherons, and Grays Transportation Percherons.
She was also the 2003 Michigan Draft Horse Breeders Association Queen. Allyson is a 2007 graduate of Michigan State University and currently works as an Exercise Physiologist.

TJ Terrell is Allyson's boyfriend. TJ is a great addition to the crew. TJ has worked for such farms as:
Grandview Clydesdales, Roby's Belgians, Frontier's Belgians, and LorRob Dairy Farm (Belgians).
TJ enjoys driving horses and has driven up to a six-horse hitch. His knowledge and experience is welcome at Har-Lyn Ridge Belgians.

Kristen Steeley, Jessica Steeley, and Lauren Perry enjoy helping with the horses too! Lauren lives next door to Har-Lyn Ridge Belgians and participates in most parades and horse shows. The Steeley girls also help with most parades and horse shows.
